IIEE-NLC Call for Technical Papers
The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, - Northern Laguna Chapter (IIEE-NLC) is currently on the lookout for technical papers that will present theory and application in the field of electrical engineering. The papers are intended to help electrical practitioners, who are professionally involved in the electrical, electronics, energy and allied industries, and find ways and means to meet the challenges presented by the merging new technologies and global trends.
The selected technical papers will be presented during the Chapter General Membership Meetings or Seminars . In addition, the same papers will be published in the chapter website. To submit a paper, you may send it to:

SUBJECT COVERAGE:
Topics of interest may be in one of the following electrical engineering specialties:
• power generation
• transmission
• distribution
• power system (planning, operation, control and monitoring)
• industrial/commercial power
• control, metering, protection and tests
OTHER TOPICS:
• consultancy/design
• professional issues (RA 7920, ethical practices, practice of foreign electrical practitioners, etc)
• safety
• renewable energy
• energy efficiency (e.g. lighting, power, practices, etc.) power quality demand side management

• rural electrification

• emerging technologies
• any management topics
Guidelines for Author
A. TYPESCRIPT PREPARATION
Three files should be submitted in hardcopy of electronic format
File 1. The title of the paper, plus the names, affiliation and complete addresses, e-mail and fax number of authors, and an abstract, keywords and brief biographical notes about the author including one (1) passport-size black and white or colored picture with white background.
File 2. The text of the paper, including text (Arial, font size 11), acknowledgments, references, notes, tables, figure captions, figures.
File 3. The presentation file for the paper in MS Power Point or equivalent for audiovisual presentation. A 30-minute allotment will be given for the lecture and 15 minutes for the open forum.
The original typescript should be submitted electronically in A4 size format, with a word count of at least 2,000-2,500 (excluding figures), with a double-spaced typing preferred and a one-inch margin on all sides.
All papers must be written in English.
If English is not your first language, please ask an English-speaking colleague to proofread your paper.
B. TITLE, ABSTRACT, KEYWORDS, ADDRESSES, BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
Please assist us by using the following guidelines:
• Titles: as concise as possible
• Abstract: approximately 100-150 words
• Keywords: approximately 10 words or phrases
• Author’s current affiliation (with position, name of institution, full postal address, e-mail and contact numbers)
• Biographical notes: approximately 100 words per author, maximum 150 (attach a two-page curriculum vitae)
C. REFERENCES AND NOTES
• Use endnotes only
• Reference sources should be cited on books, articles, journals, speeches, reports, thesis, and other published works used in preparing the paper
• Full reference should include all authors’ names and initials, date of publication, title of paper, title of publication (italics), volume and issue number (of a journal), publisher and form (books, conference proceedings), page numbers.
